The Champlain Infection Control Network (CICN) stimulates, enables and fosters infection prevention and control (IPAC) activities.  CICN recognizes stakeholders needs and is responsive to changes in knowledge.  CICN mentors the healthcare community towards sustained reductions in adverse outcomes from infection.

Guiding Principles

Guiding principles and values direct an organization as it discharges its mission in pursuit of its vision.  The values underpinning the CICN strategic plan, reflecting minor revisions, are the following.

CICN will promote consistency in infection control standards and practices through communication and collaboration  
with othr RICNs.

CICN will collaborate with regional partners in implementing infection control best practices by sharing expertise and resources.

CICN will ensure a local focus on the infection control needs of Champlain while providing provincial leadership.

CICN will be an innovative partner in the development of local and provincial infection control programs.

CICN will serve as a channel for bi-directional communication as needed between healthcare providers and the provincial government on infection control issues.
