2009 Infection Prevention and Control Week Contest Winners
SEOICN is pleased to announce the winners of our 2009 Infection Control Week contest

The first prize in our contest was awarded to Lanark Lodge in Perth. Heather Duncan and her team planned a fun filled week of IPAC activities for all their staff. As well as creating a great t-shirt for all members of the Infection Prevention and Control Team, activities included a Jar O’ Germs contest, infection control related puzzles, fact of the day and bug of the day flyers, and video watching sessions complete with popcorn. Prizes were given out for participation in various activities and a local  grocery store created a theme cake for the final day celebration. Perhaps the most creative activity was the "FBI” agent who made rounds looking to catch staff in the act of performing hand hygiene. An entertaining video of activities was created which will soon be posted on our web site for all to enjoy.
Congratulations to the entire team at Lanark Lodge!

Second Place in our contest went to the Infection Prevention and Control team at Brockville General Hospital.
Despite the current  challenges being faced by all our hospitals they were able to put together a wonderful display for the main hallway . Staff had the opportunity to complete puzzles and other activities which made them eligible to win a prize package at the end of the week.

Third prize went to Hotel Dieu Hospital in Kingston. A display, presentations and daily e-mails were  all  part of their activities.

SEOICN congratulates all of our participants.
