Community Care Resource
The Infection Prevention and Control Reference Tool provides our stakeholders in community care with a quick easy-to-read guide that covers a number of topics such as proper hand hygiene; correct use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE); routine Practices & Additional Precautions; proper handling of equipment.

Infection Control for Families and Visitors
An 8-minute DVD resource designed to assist healthcare staff in the education of family members and visitors about the importance of their role in infection control.  A collaborative project between the South Western Ontario Infection Control Network, London Health Sciences Centre and St. Joseph's Health Care.

Infection Control Week Fast Fact Sheets

ICP Orientation Resource Binder
Target Audience: New Infection Control Professionals (ICP).
Purpose:   The purpose of this resource is to provide new ICPs with orientation tools and guidelines to use in their facility. Sections include introduction, contact information, general information, communicable diseases, surveillance, outbreak management, patient information and construction.

IPAC Pocket Guides
Target Audience: Geared to health care providers in acute care settings but can be used in long term care settings as well.
Purpose:   The purpose of this pocket guide is to provide a simple tool for quick access to infection prevention and control measures on specific infectious diseases/conditions which may be relevant in acute care settings. This information includes recommendatios for Routines Practices and Additional Precautions, along with relevant information on the duration of Additional Precautions, mode of transmission infectious material, and major clinical signs and symptoms.

LTC Resource Guide
Target Audience: Health care workers in Long Term Care homes. 
Feature:   This resource kits has DVD presentations and fact sheets on clostridium difficile, routine practices, environmental cleaning, febrile respiratory illness, pet visitations, antibiotic resistant organisms. Great tool to educate staff!

Academic Resource Kit
Target Audience: Healthcare program instructors
Feature:   The Infection Prevention and Control (IPAC) Academic Resource has been created in order to provide instructors teaching in healthcare programs with current information about recommended practices for IPAC in the Province of Ontario, and the resources to present this information to students.  The kit includes many educational resources in a variety of formats including print, digital and online as available.

The Grand Prix of PPE
The video uses a humourous approach to depict various situations commonly encountered in a LTCH setting and instructs the viewer on appropriate choice, donning process, and doffing process of PPE. It features a teaching guide and a CD of Companion Materials that includes a power point suitable for staff inservices, precaution signage, etc. Hospitals and public health units may find this material useful too! Lending Library
Our library contains books, DVDs, videos, teaching kits and other resources of value to the Infection Control Professional. Loans periods are two weeks but can be extended, depending upon demand.
