Orientation for Infection Prevention and Control Professionals in Acute or Long-Term Care Settings.

This program helps the ICP to integrate  into the role more readily and will foster their sense of confidence and ability to find important information quickly.  We are excited to meet those new to IPAC and want to help ensure that their experience as an ICP is positive.
Topics include:  Role of the ICP; Routine Practices and additional Precautions; Transmissions of Infection; Surveillance; Walk about (What the ICP needs to look for on rounds); Microbiology (take the video tour); Managing patients/residents with AROs; Managing patients/resiodents with C. difficile; Vaccine safety.

IT'S IN THE BAG: SPECIMEN COLLECTING LIKE A CHAMPION

Is a 10 minute DVD that can be used as a visual tool to teach health care providers in the proper collection of specimensduringan outbreak. Health care providers learn proper stool collection, nasopharyngeal swab collection and the correct way to complete the public health form.Est un DVD d'une durée 10 minutes qui peut servir d'outil visuel pour aider les fournisseurs de soins de santé à recueillir des spécimens correctement en cas de flambée. Les fournisseurs de soins de santé peuvent apprendre la bonne façon de recueillir des échantillons fécaux ou rhino-pharyngiens, ainsi que la bonne façon de remplir le formulaire de la santé publique.
