About the South Eastern Ontario Infection Control Network (SEOICN)

The South Eastern Ontario Infection Control Network consists of a region that stretches from Belleville in the west to Brockville/Prescott in the east and from Picton in the south to Smiths Falls and Bancroft in the north.

Our Network staff consists of a Network Coordinator, a Medical Coordinator, an Infection Control Consultant and an Administrative Assistant.

Milestones in the development of the SEOICN

  • SEOICN was among the first 4 networks to receive funding in 2004
  • Steering committee began meeting in the spring of 2005
  • Medical coordinator was hired in late 2005
  • Network coordinator began work with the network in February 2006
  • Network office was opened in June 2006
  • First SEOICN strategic planning workshop was held in April 2006
  • Administrative assistant was hired in June 2006
  • Infection control consultant began work in December 2006
